Black & Veatch announced the launch of BVInfraIQ, an AI-enabled digital infrastructure intelligence platform that transforms complex operational data into actionable intelligence and real-time, prioritized recommendations to optimize asset performance across the entire end-to-end human critical infrastructure value chain.

Built on Black & Veatch’s century of engineering and consulting expertise and history of continuous innovation, BVInfraIQ delivers actionable intelligence that helps infrastructure owners and operators improve asset performance, strengthen resilience, accelerate decision making and drive long-term sustainability.

"Our clients continue to navigate increasingly complex operational challenges and are seeking trusted solutions to achieve data-driven strategic advantages," said Black & Veatch Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mario Azar. "BVInfraIQ combines Black & Veatch's engineering and advisory expertise with advanced AI capabilities to augment and deliver operational intelligence that helps clients maximize the value of their human critical infrastructure and optimize the use of energy, water and other critical resources across their operations."

As infrastructure systems become increasingly complex, operators need more than access to data. They need actionable intelligence that helps them make better decisions. Beyond traditional monitoring approaches that focus primarily on visibility within a single facility, BVInfraIQ transforms vast amounts of operational data into intelligence on how entire systems work together, delivering prioritized, engineering-grounded recommendations to improve performance, reliability, uptime and cost efficiency across integrated assets. It is powered by a unified digital platform designed to accelerate digital product deployment and deliver scalable outcomes for clients. The platform includes several core components:

  • Physics-based recommendations grounded in first-principles engineering and economic and system-level modeling;
  • Proprietary industry expertise drawn from a century of operations and process design knowledge incorporated directly into the platform’s models;
  • Role-based, real-time operational intelligence with multi-level dashboards delivers prognostic visibility to support decision making across organizations for operators, managers and enterprise leaders;
  • Continuous improvement enabled through AI-powered feedback loops generates smarter, more valuable outcomes over time.

The platform’s initial application will focus on optimizing remote LNG (liquefied natural gas) assets utilizing Black & Veatch’s more than 60 years of LNG innovation, including proprietary technologies deployed on more than half of the world's FLNG (floating liquefied natural gas) facilities in operation or under construction. BVInfraIQ will continue to evolve to support a broad range of human critical infrastructure assets, including power, data centers and industrial facilities, to improve operational outcomes and drive long-term sustainability.
